Requirements

Ordio uses Firebase for sign-in, business data, images and secure order processing. The website is published through an HTTPS static host, so PHP and MySQL are not needed.

Required

RequirementSupported value
Installation computerWindows, macOS or Linux with terminal access
Node.js22.12 or newer
npmIncluded with a supported Node.js installation
FirebaseGoogle account, Firebase project and Blaze billing plan
Firebase servicesEmail/Password and Phone Authentication, Firestore, Storage and Functions

Internet accessRequired during installation and deployment

Allow approximately 500 MB of free local disk space for the extracted source, dependencies and production build. Product and cover images are stored in Firebase Storage rather than the website host.

  • Netlify for the first website deployment.
  • A Firebase region close to the business and its customers.
  • A Google Cloud budget alert before testing phone verification or Functions.
  • A custom domain after the host-provided HTTPS address passes the launch checklist.

Hosting compatibility

Netlify, Firebase Hosting, Cloudflare Pages and Vercel are documented. Another static host is supported when it serves the dist files over HTTPS and rewrites application routes to /index.html.

Traditional hosting works only when it supports static files, HTTPS and the required rewrite. A PHP/MySQL hosting plan alone is not suitable.
